I want to write.

I miss freestyle writing.

—pouring my unedited, unadulterated, honest thoughts on paper.

I’m watching a show where a woman lied about having terminal cancer. From what I can see, she never looked sick from all the chemotherapy and radiation she claimed to receive. As a cancer survivor, it was disheartening.

The flags were everywhere—just red and wavy.

So many believed her. It was a whole thing.

Do we want to be lied to?

Do we prefer lies to truth?

Truth hurts.

Truth divides.

Truth demands a response.

I help others to write.

To develop…

To make sense of their stories…

To pull the message from them…

Our stories continue to be written each day.

Our past comes to haunt us, but we hold the power.

We choose what we feel and believe about it.

We choose the meaning we give to it.

Our past comes with locks and bars, taunting us.

Yet, when you realize it is you—us—me—who has the power…

Game Changer

I have power in the Lord Jesus Christ, who made me a new creature.

The old me has passed away.

Have you passed away? Are you new in Christ?

If so, don’t allow your past to torment you. If not, see about that.

Nothing is wasted.

Who can you help with what you’ve overcome?

You can’t help them if you are still sitting in shame about it.

OWN it!

It’s YOURS.

You can tell it better than anyone else.

Writing my story in my memoir, Everybody Kneeling Ain’t Praying, was scary and liberating.

Scary because now everyone would know things I’ve done…

but freeing because everyone will know things I‘ve done. LOL

Do you get it?

I have such a peace about my past because the Lord forgave me.

The road to forgiving myself was longer.

And with new AI technology, we don’t really have to think, reflect, to write, right?

Wrong.

Although I am using my own words to write this, I have used that same technology to help with productivity.

Don’t lose your voice using technology.

Technology should help you, not be you.

Write because you have experienced something profound.

Write because you need to process life.

Write because you want to encourage someone on their journey.

Write because you have something to teach.

Write because you have something to sell.

Words matter.

Write.

Stories connect us.

Stories make speeches more interesting.

Stories sell.

We all want to belong.

We want answers.

We all want to know how to get out of something and fix something.

How did you overcome that? Or what did you do after that? What your question is, someone has written a book about it.

And if you don’t see one—you write it!
